Most of the provincial nominee programs allow application for the PR under provincial streams only with Job offers, issued by the Canadian employers.

Most of the provincial programs are submitted online and in order to participate the candidate must be eligible to enter the Express Entry pool. Please refer to the Express Entry for general requirements.

Once nominated, the candidate will be granted an additional 600 points.

Below we will mention those programs, which do not require previous Educational or Work Experience in the province, however, they do require the job offer:

ONTARIO

1. Employer Job offer – In-demand skills stream

This program gives foreign workers with a job offer in specific in-demand occupations, such as in agriculture, construction, trucking or personal support work, the opportunity to apply to permanently live and work in Ontario.

It gives foreign workers with a job offer in a skilled occupation at Skill Type 0 or Skill Level A or B of the National Occupational Classification (NOC), the opportunity to apply to permanently live and work in Ontario.

BRITISH COLUMBIA

There is an internal calculation system in addition to the Express Entry. For details, refer to: BC PNP Skills Immigration and Express Entry BC program guide.

1. Skilled Worker

British Columbia’s growing economy requires skilled workers in high-demand occupations. The Express Entry BC (EEBC) – Skilled Worker category of the BC Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) is a faster way to gain permanent residence in B.C.

To qualify, you must first accept a valid job offer from a B.C. employer. You also need relevant training and experience.

2. Healthcare Professionals

British Columbia needs more health care professionals. The Express Entry BC (EEBC) – Healthcare Professional category of the BC Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) helps physicians, specialists, nurses and allied health professionals put their valuable skills to work in the province and get permanent residence.

In addition to the conditions for Express Entry, the successful candidates must also receive a full time and permanent job offer from a public health authority as a physician, specialist, registered nurse, registered psychiatric nurse, nurse practitioner, or allied health professional

3. BC PNP Tech Pilot

The B.C. tech sector is a major driver of economic growth in the province, with tech employment at its highest level ever recorded. The demand for talent in B.C.’s tech sector is increasing faster than the supply.

The priorities for the Ministry of Jobs, Economic Development and Competitiveness include establishing B.C. as a preferred location for new and emerging technologies, increasing the growth of domestic B.C. tech companies, and removing barriers to attracting skilled workers.

Not as the rest of the programs under the BC PNP, this stream allows immigration with reduced eligibility requirements for a permanent full-time job offer to a one-year full-time job offer.

4. Entry Level and Semi-Skilled

This program will allow workers with a valid tourism /hospitality, long trucking or food processing occupation to gain PR in BC. The candidate must secure a full time, indeterminate job offer from a BC employer.

NOVA SCOTIA

1. Labour Market Priorities for physicians

Under this stream, the province selects physicians to apply for nomination through the federal Express Entry system. Only candidates with an approved offer from the Nova Scotia Health Authority or the IWK Health Centre who receive a Letter of Interest from the Nova Scotia Office of Immigration may apply.

2. Physician stream

This stream assists Nova Scotia’s public health authorities – the Nova Scotia Health Authority (NSHA) and the Izaak Walton Killam Health Centre (IWK) – to hire general practitioners, family physicians, and specialist physicians to work in Nova Scotia. The stream helps the NSHA and IWK to recruit and retain physicians with the required skills for positions that they have been unable to fill with a permanent resident or Canadian citizen.

3. Skilled worker

The Skilled Worker stream helps employers recruit foreign workers and recently graduated international students whose skills are needed in Nova Scotia. An employer can only hire foreign workers for positions they have been unable to fill with permanent residents or Canadian citizens.

4. Occupations in demand

The Occupations in Demand stream targets specific NOC C, intermediate-skilled occupations that are in high labor market demand in Nova Scotia. The Office of Immigration identifies occupations in demand based on labor market information and eligible occupations are subject to change.

This stream is open for those, who were able to secure a full-time permanent job offer from NS employer as a nurse aid or truck driver.

5. Nova Scotia Demand: Express Entry

This stream selects highly skilled individuals who wish to live in Nova Scotia permanently. Applicants must have a good chance of quickly finding a job in Nova Scotia’s labor market.

The Nova Scotia Office of Immigration reserves the right to consider only certain types of occupations for the nomination, depending on current labor market needs.

PRINCE EDWARD ISLAND

1. PEI- Express Entry

There are two pathways to permanent residency through the PEI Express Entry Category, depending on if you have a job offer in PEI or not. Priority will be given to applicants that are living and working in PEI.

The PEI Skilled Worker stream is employer-driven, allowing Island employers to fill high-skilled positions that they are unable to fill through the local job market.

Express Entry Skilled Worker

In order to qualify under this program the candidates must be registered in the Express Entry Pool and received a hugh-skilled job offer from a NL employer.

NEW BRUNSWICK

Skilled worker stream

The candidates must meet the program’s minimum eligibility requirements, have a genuine offer of employment from a New Brunswick Employer and have the full intent to live and work in the province on a permanent basis.

NORTHWEST TERRITORIES

Employer-Driven Stream

This stream helps employers to hire critically needed and skilled workers, and helps workers to achieve Canadian Permanent Residency through three program categories. For this stream to work, you first need a job offer from an NWT employer.

1. Skilled workers

The Skilled Worker category helps employers to attract qualified individuals if there are shortages of workers for jobs in the NWT that require formal education, specialized training, or both.

To be eligible, foreign nationals must be able to demonstrate they have the training, experience, and education to fulfill the needs of the job description. The skilled worker must have one year of full-time experience in the relevant occupation.

Express Entry

Express Entry helps employers to secure skilled employees by fast-tracking applications for permanent residency. When approved by us, the candidate will receive 600 points within the Express Entry pool.

YUKON

Yukon business owners can apply to the Yukon Nominee Program to hire foreign workers when their business can't fill a permanent full-time job with a Canadian or permanent resident. The Government of Yukon doesn't recruit workers on behalf of Yukon businesses.

SASKATCHEWAN

International Skilled worker -employment offer

Saskatchewan has launched a new International Healthcare Worker Expression of Interest (EOI) Pool.

The new International Healthcare Worker EOI submission process is not an application to the SINP (Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program), but a pre-application form that allows candidates to submit an online form indicating they are interested in working in a selected health care occupation in Saskatchewan.

Saskatchewan will review your qualification, and should you have the skills that an employer is looking for, the province will contact you with information on how to apply for a job opportunity.

To submit an EOI you need to have a professional background that falls under one of the National Occupational Classification (NOC) codes.
